[Matthias has missed Inuyasha. He had gotten used to having him around. In that wild aching turn of the red moon, he had tried to fill his loneliness with the other boy and found him willing to reach back. And then silence. Then nothing.

After crossing paths with Kagome, he had messaged Inuyasha to see how he was. Since then he has tried contacting him on and off. Inuyasha must be busy helping Kagome settle in, he reasoned.
